Here we have an Edwardian hallmarked silver jewellery box with pierced decoration and hinged pincushion lid

with fitted inner tray that slides in beautifully (definitely its original lining box) and monogrammed panelled front "MC"

so aesthetically beautiful

This one is titled ' La Dolce Vita' - on the rear it notes that this is 'from the series postcards from Italy'

while the top and base are finished with traditional brass rims

Quite possible depicting the God Aiyanar mounted on a horse from Tamil Nadu, in Southern India. It may well have come from a larger piece but stands alone as a really sweet piece. The cast detailing is really quite good. It's age is difficult to determine but at least 60 years old we think judging from the patina This piece would make a good talking point sat on a mantle or
